Jenna Koloski

Senior Director, Healthy Communities

Jenna joins Heron from the Vermont Council on Rural Development where she was the community engagement and policy director. In this role, Jenna led community design, and facilitation efforts to help rural communities identify concrete priorities and connect to critical resources to succeed. She also led a peer network of thousands of community members working on projects and initiatives in their communities and provided coaching, training, and technical assistance to support their work. Additionally, Jenna coordinated and facilitated statewide rural policy initiatives in Vermont, including the Future of Vermont Action Team, the Youth Opportunity Initiative, and the Climate Economy Initiative. Prior to VCRD, she was a community engagement and advocacy leader with Hunger Free Vermont and an education director with the Green Mountain Club. She serves on the boards of the Vermont Community Development Association, and the Remedial Herstory Project. Jenna earned a BS in Conservation and Biodiversity from McGill University and an MA in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law and Graduate School. Jenna lives with her family in rural Vermont.
